Hello, world! My name is Christal. I like God and the color purple and the Nebraska Cornhuskers and taking pictures and writing stories.

Now that we're practically BFFs, wanna hear a true story?

I have never co-authored a blog before.

Until now, that is! See, I have this amazing friend named Megan, who is the inspiration/aspiration/reason behind this blog. We're both freshmen at a college in the Twin Cities, and we're both pretty far from home. We also have this other best friend, Mary, also a freshman and away from home. Megan cooks for us every weekend, and she is AMAZING at it. She comes up with some pretty creative recipes. (So far, to name a few, we've dined on her fine cuisine of fried peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, homemade-from-scratch sloppy joes, and French toast with cream cheese and orange zest. MMM. To all of the above.) She's the artisan in the kitchen, while my talents lie...as far away from the kitchen as possible. Seriously, I burn just about anything because I get distracted pretty easily. So instead, I take the pictures and Megan does the cooking!

And that, dear reader, is the reason that I am now a co-author of a blog...mostly for the pictures. :)

Also, just a head's up. The Megan-Mary-Christal friendship consists of indecision (Hello, blog title!), Finding Nemo quotes, tactfully applied insults, sad stories, poking each other, "Guess what" statements, and Megan cooking for us (Hello again, blog title!). So if you see any references to any of the above in future blog posts: No, we're not crazy. We're sisters.

So, dear reader, this could be an adventure...for all of us. This is life. And cooking. And indecision.
